Guerlain Lipsticks

After trying out two Guerlain Rouge Automatiques in Liu and Reflex, I decided to buy some more Guerlain lipsticks.

Rouge G feels lovely on lips and the colour payoff is amazing, the only thing I don't like is the scent and it does annoys me enough to wipe it off before food or it will ruin the taste of food for me.  Automatiques are scented too but I can't taste it constantly like I do with Rouge G.

Genna will be replacing Riviera for a bright red lip.  It's beautiful and no mineral oil is always better.

Madame Flirte is not for me.  I should have learnt that from this Dior liptick since they kinda look the same when worn as a sheer.  Madame Flirte, doesn't work at all if I have concealer/foundation on my lips because it turns light pink-purple which is worse.  When I saw thenonblonde's post, her photo assured me that I didn't get the wrong product.  It looks lovely on a lot of people.  I think the blue undertone and translucence jelly formula really makes it depend the wearer's on the natural lip colour to look pretty.

Violette de Madame, it's that safe natural nude colour I always buy/mix although it will never replace SUQQU Creamy Glow Lipsticks in 06 or 09 as HG for me and they are sadly dc.

On with the pictures

By the way, Etude House Rosy Tint Lips 01 is so pretty and wears beautifully unless one decides to top it off with balm or gloss then it becomes a blotchy mess that prompts a restart with application.  It looks similar to Liu but less blue and not shiny.

BF took this picture, he said I should use it. (sorry about the smear on Liu)
Madame Flirte and Addiction Last Scene look similar in depth on lips but Last Scene is flattering and Madame Flirte is not :(

  1. I have been looking for such comparisons with accurate colors on Internet without much luck. So thanks again!

  3. LOL I own every single product in this post except Violette de Madame, which I purged for being a bit too brown *twilight zone music* I'm so surprised Mme Flirte doesn't work on you while Liu does -- I find Liu much cooler. What colour are your lips naturally? Do you always put foundation/concealer over them?

    1. I am surprised too, it looks lovely on you and Belly so I thought it would eh work but eh my lips are weird. I think they are umm a few shades darker (pigmentation from sun damage) than my skin and mauve on the inner part. I look sick with nothing on lips. I only used concealer to see if it would make a positive difference lol. I usually I run around with naked face.

  4. Aww so sorry to hear Madame Flirte doesn't work for you! Out of the three shades in the release it was the one that stood out the most to me, but I ended up skipping because I had doubts about it working on me. It seems... too cool-toned? I can wear cool-toned shades, but maybe this one is a bit extreme.

    1. I purchased unseen so I was looking at blogs to decide. I guess I need to stay away from translucent cool tones :) I'll stick to translucent corals and peach beige colours lol

  5. I love Rouge Gs too. I'm sorry Madame Flirt didn't work out for you, it is such a pretty shade though.
