Giorgio Armani Blender brush

Detailed photo on the bristles

I haven't used it yet, straight out of the box.
On the back of the box it says 100% natural hair (Marten) and "Made in China"

Some MUA reviewers complained about it smelling bad after washing.

First impression:
Has an animal smell to it when I used it around my nose.
This brush is soft but firm enough to blend cream like products. It can leave streaks depending on how you use it and of course it depends on the products too.  For my test it was ok, it wasn't life changing.

So did it smell after washing?
It didn't smell when I was washing it.   It smelled really bad when it was drying.   I don't know if I want to name what it smells like.  It didn't smell bad at all when I was patting it dry but after leaving it alone for 30 mins, the smell developed.  I have tried washing it 3 times to far.  Shampooing it makes the smell go away but it comes back as soon as I leave it to dry.  It's a nice day for drying things too.

At this point I really have to say I am very disappointed.
I purchased this from a department store so it can't be a bad fake.

I can't bare to look at it anymore. I dropped it off at my sister's.  Maybe my niece will use it as a paint brush or something.

SHEER GLOSSY EYES in EX 01 Nuance Gray

SHEER GLOSSY EYES in EX 01 Nuance Gray

So wanted to try something different from Lunasol and I must say this is probably their best eyeshadow formula.  No fall outs, just a beautiful and complex effect.  I would say this is very similar to suqqu eyeshadows.

Brand new :)

With similar looking shadow (NARS Lhasa)
It looks just like NARS Lhasa in the pot but when applied it is quite different.  Honestly NARS Lhasa looks terrible next to it in person.  My swatch doesn't do it justice.  It has a sheen that makes your eyes look glossy.

Swatched next to NARS Lhasa

This product is isn't attached to the pot at all so please don't put it in a travel bag as it might break inside the pot.  Handle with care when using it :)

Base makeup swatches

I think I own quite a few base make up products and it would be interesting to see how they compare next to each other.

I didn't group them really well and I just applied a strip of each product on my arm.

This is applied over a face primer. Laura Mercier foundation primer.
From left to right:
Burberry Sheer Foundation in Trench 4 (sample, too dewy for my face)
NARS Sheer Glow Foundation in Fiji (sample, haven't tried it on my face yet)
Dior DiorSkin Sculpt Lifting Smoothing Concealer 02 (too dark, need to mix with 01)
Dior DiorSkin Sculpt Lifting Smoothing Concealer 01 (too light, need to mix with 02)
Freshel Moist Lift Mineral BB Cream (MB) My go to base when mixed with some canmake concealer
Shiseido MAQUILLAGE Treatment Lasting Compact UV Foundation OC 10 (under eye concealer)
Bourjois Healthy Mix in 53 (I don't use this because it is too dark and orange. Also breaks me out)
Canmake Cover & Stretch Concealer UV 02 Natural beige (great for spots)
Clé de Peau Beauté Concealer in OCHER (I don't know what to use this for as it's too dark and also too creamy for my climate atm)

When i was trying to wash these off my arms I notice some almost disappeared and some didn't move at all. I guess I should never wear the Burberry and Nars foundation on a hot sweaty day or when it is raining.

Canmake Blessed Natural Foundation

It seems like an affordable powder, packing is sturdy.
I used this to take away the shine of my sunscreen.  It wasn't heavy but it didn't do anything for pores but it didn't look bad at the end of the day.  It has a light floral fragrance that you can only detect when you dab your brush in the pan.

Left to right:
Canmake Blessed Natural Foundation 01
DiorSkin Forever Compact Flawless Perfection Fusion Wear Makeup SPF 25 in Linen 021
Lunasol Skin Fusing Powder Foundation - YO 03
RMK Powder Foundation EX in 101

Dior's Linen shade is quite yellow even though it is pale, it's not very flattering if used with a heavy hand.  Lunasol is a golden yellow compared to dior.  RMK is the palest.  I think canmake is neutral and kind of light looking even though it looks the darkest in the pan.
